This role oversees daily production activities, drives continuous improvement, and ensures the facility meets its operational, customer, and manufacturing objectives. The position requires strong leadership, a commitment to operational excellence, and the ability to build a high‑performance culture.\n\n\nResponsibilities\n\n\n\n Partner with the General Manager to plan, execute, and manage operational strategies, including new program launches within defined budget and timelines.\n Lead and direct plant operations with a focus on safety, quality, on‑time delivery, lean principles, and continuous improvement.\n Support development of the plant operating budget and ensure financial targets are met.\n Approve and oversee requisitions for building maintenance, equipment repair, machine parts, and production supplies; recommend improvements to equipment and manufacturing processes.\n Allocate personnel and resources to meet production schedules across all operational departments.\n Foster a culture of teamwork, mutual respect, accountability, and high morale.\n Ensure all plant activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations and are conducted ethically.\n Perform additional duties as assigned by plant leadership.\n\n\n\nQualifications\n\n\n\n Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or a related field; equivalent automotive leadership experience may be considered (2:1 experience/education scale).\n 10+ years of progressive experience in Tier 1 or OEM automotive manufacturing.\n 5–10 years of hot stamping experience strongly preferred.\n Proven leadership capability with demonstrated success managing teams.\n Minimum 5 years of progressive managerial experience in automotive operations.\n\n\n\nRequired Skills\n\n\n\n Strong understanding of plant management systems, productivity metrics, safety programs, and quality assurance.\n In‑depth knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes, including stamping, welding, and coating.\n Familiarity with customer and accreditation requirements such as TS16949, ISO14001, and OEM standards.\n Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong computer proficiency.\n Expertise in employee relations, engagement, lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and structured problem‑solving.\n Ability to make sound business decisions and develop a strong, cohesive management team.\n Proficiency in MS Office, SAP, and customer/vendor systems.\n\n\n\nPreferred Skills\n\n\n\n 5–10 years of hot stamping experience strongly preferred.\n Stamping and Welding Experience\n\n\n\nPay range and compensation package\n\n\nNot specified.\n\n\nPhysical & Work Environment Requirements\n\n\n\n Ability to perform tasks requiring close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.\n Regular activities include standing, walking, sitting, handling tools or controls, reaching, climbing stairs, talking, and hearing.\n Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.\n Exposure to typical plant environmental conditions, including moderate noise and varying weather.\n Ability to maintain focus and communicate information clearly and effectively.\n\n\n\nEqual Opportunity Statement\n\n\nThis employer is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
