Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (Oncology), Clinic (San Francisco, CA) The registered nurse will provide oncology-focused patient care, including chemotherapy and immunotherapy-related support, symptom management, and patient/family education within an outpatient and/or clinic-based setting. The role requires strong oncology experience and proficiency with Epic. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift; 8 hours per shift; minimum 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: California Registered Nurse (RN) license; Basic Life Support (BLS); Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) and Oncology Nursing Society Certified (ONS/ONCC) (as listed); minimum 3 years oncology experience (Medical/Surgical Oncology preferred); 5 years RN experience; 2 years outpatient oncology experience; charting with Epic (Epic charting required); chemotherapy administration experience; telephone triage experience; telephone triage and tracheostomy care/management experience; wound care experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) (as listed); Oncology Nursing Society Certified (ONS/ONCC) (as listed); previous charge experience; trauma level experience; teaching hospital experience; head & neck medical/surgical oncology familiarity (preferred based on listed unit needs); additional experience with outpatient oncology and/or specialty support areas.
• Float: Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Responsibilities include setting up patients for chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapy; providing survivorship care support and multidisciplinary coordination; performing pre- and post-operative surgical oncology nursing care (including clinic-based procedures); supporting clinical trial participation (as applicable); performing patient education and supportive symptom management; and recognizing and communicating abnormal lab values.
