Engineering Maintenance ManagerHiFyve is hiring for an Engineering Maintenance Manager in the Middletown, Ohio area within the chemical manufacturing industry.Estimated Salary: $130,000 to $180,000 annually, depending on experiencePosition OverviewThis position will lead the site maintenance department and be responsible for improving equipment reliability, plant safety, maintenance performance, and team development. The Maintenance Manager will oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs, maintenance planning and scheduling, capital projects, contractors, equipment records, and the annual maintenance budget.This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who can build a strong maintenance organization while balancing immediate plant needs with long-term reliability improvements.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, develop, and manage the plant maintenance teamBuild and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance programsImprove equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtimeEstablish and track maintenance metrics, including OEE and wrench timeManage maintenance planning, scheduling, work orders, and documentationChampion the effective use of the computerized maintenance management systemLead root cause failure analysis and corrective-action effortsDevelop maintenance procedures, job plans, and lockout/tagout documentationMaintain equipment records, drawings, and mechanical integrity documentationManage the annual maintenance and repair budgetIdentify and recommend capital projects that improve reliability or reduce maintenance costsPlan and execute maintenance-related capital projectsEnsure contractors are qualified, properly documented, and working safelyOversee third-party storeroom performance and parts inventory supportEstablish training and competency requirements for maintenance personnelConduct performance reviews and support employee developmentPartner with Production, EHS, Engineering, Planning, Project Engineering, and outside contractorsSupport regulatory, environmental, quality, and Responsible Care requirementsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering requiredAt least 10 years of industrial experienceChemical manufacturing experience strongly preferredPrevious maintenance leadership or project management experienceDemonstrated experience troubleshooting maintenance and reliability issues in a plant environmentStrong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance programsExperience with root cause failure analysisCapital project planning and execution experienceExperience managing maintenance budgets and evaluating project costsStrong supervisory skills, including employee development, performance management, and accountabilityAbility to manage multiple priorities and balance immediate repairs with long-term plant needsStrong written and verbal communication skillsMaintenance, reliability, or project management certification is a plusThis is a safety-sensitive position and requires compliance with routine testing, medical monitoring, and respirator fit-testing requirements.
