Bring your expertise and passion for helping students succeed to a rewarding contract opportunity for a dedicated physical therapist. This school-based role, located near beautiful Long Beach, CA, is designed for professionals who thrive in dynamic educational environments and enjoy supporting students’ mobility, accessibility, and overall well-being.
We are looking for a talented PT committed to making a meaningful impact. Your clinical skills and adaptability will help students of diverse backgrounds reach their goals. This position is an excellent fit for candidates who are enthusiastic about collaborating with educators and families to provide the highest quality physical therapy services.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid California Physical Therapist license
- Prior experience providing PT services in school settings
- Strong understanding of pediatric assessment and intervention techniques
- Ability to develop and implement IEP goals
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with students, staff, and families
- Ability to manage documentation efficiently and meet required timelines
- Flexibility to adapt to evolving needs within the school environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative physical therapy services to students
- Evaluate students and develop individualized treatment plans
- Consult with teachers and allied professionals on support strategies
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing insight and recommendations
- Keep accurate records of assessments, progress, and service delivery
- Educate families and staff to ensure continuity of care
- Foster a supportive, inclusive, and engaging atmosphere for all students
