Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced, results-oriented Wholesale Account Manager to manage and expand an established portfolio of wholesale floral customers while actively developing new business opportunities.

The ideal candidate is a proactive sales professional with strong B2B account management experience, excellent relationship-building skills, and a demonstrated ability to generate revenue through both customer retention and new account acquisition.

This position requires a balance of strategic sales development, hands-on account management, customer service, and coordination with internal operations to ensure customer satisfaction and profitable business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Account Management & Growth

• Manage and strengthen relationships with existing wholesale customers.
• Identify opportunities to increase sales volume, order frequency, and overall account profitability.
• Develop a thorough understanding of customer needs, purchasing patterns, and seasonal requirements.
• Maintain regular communication with customers to ensure satisfaction and long-term retention.
• Resolve customer concerns professionally and promptly.

New Business Development

• Actively prospect, identify, and secure new wholesale customers.
• Develop new business opportunities through cold calling, referrals, networking, and direct customer visits.
• Build and maintain a qualified sales pipeline.
• Present product offerings, prepare competitive proposals, and negotiate pricing and sales terms.
• Convert prospective customers into active, long-term accounts.
• Meet or exceed established sales and new business development goals.

Sales Operations & Customer Service

• Coordinate customer orders with purchasing, inventory, warehouse, and logistics departments.
• Monitor product availability, order accuracy, and delivery schedules.
• Proactively address product shortages, substitutions, and delivery concerns.
• Anticipate seasonal demand and support planning for high-volume floral holidays.
• Maintain accurate account records and sales activity reports.

Sales Performance & Market Development

• Monitor account revenue, sales trends, and customer profitability.
• Identify competitive market opportunities and recommend strategies to increase market share.
• Prepare sales forecasts and regular performance reports.
• Collaborate with management on pricing, promotions, and customer growth initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience in B2B sales, wholesale account management, or business development.
• Demonstrated success in both growing existing accounts and acquiring new customers.
• Strong prospecting, negotiation, closing, and relationship-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple accounts while maintaining an active new business pipeline.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
• Ability to work independently and consistently meet sales objectives.
• Availability to work on-site in Miami and travel locally to customer locations as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in wholesale floral distribution, fresh-cut flowers, agriculture, perishables, or related wholesale industries.
• Existing relationships within the floral wholesale or distribution market.
• Knowledge of floral inventory, seasonal demand, pricing, and logistics.
• Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills.
• Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
