Join our team at the Grand Naniloa Hotel, a DoubleTree by Hilton, as the Assistant Housekeeping Manager. The hotel assistant housekeeping manager helps run the daily cleaning operations, supervises staff, and ensures guest rooms meet quality standards.
Compensation:$45,000 - $55,000 yearly
Responsibilities:Staff Supervision: Manage room attendants, housepersons, and laundry workers. Assign daily tasks and create work schedules.
Room Inspections: Inspect guest rooms, hallways, and public areas to check cleanliness and safety standards.
Inventory Control: Monitor cleaning supplies, linens, and uniforms. Order new stock when supplies run low.
Department Communication: Update the front desk on ready rooms and report maintenance problems to engineering.
Training and Safety: Train new hires on cleaning methods and safety rules like OSHA.
Experience: Usually requires 1 to 3 years of housekeeping or supervisory experience in a hotel.
Education: A high school diploma or a hospitality degree.
Skills: Good communication, basic computer use, and strong organizational skills.
Located on the coastline of Hilo Bay, the Grand Naniloa Hilo, a DoubleTree by Hilton, is 30 miles from Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. All rooms have free WiFi.
Guest rooms offer garden, ocean, or harbor views of Hilo Bay, Hamakua Coast, or Hilo Harbor. Each room is equipped with a flat-screen TV and a refrigerator, and bathrooms are finished with German limestone. Suites boast a kitchenette.
The Grand Naniloa Hilo, a DoubleTree by Hilton, features an outdoor swimming pool and a sundeck. The Naniloa Golf Course, located within the hotel grounds and adjacent to the Grand Naniloa Hotel, offers a free round of golf daily to guests.
