Join us.Job DescriptionAECOM Sports is seeking an Architectural Project Manager based in Kansas City, MO, Los Angeles, CA or Dallas, TX to lead and execute interdisciplinary projects with a focus on Sports, Public Assembly, and Higher Education projects. The role will be responsible for managing scope, schedule, and budget of projects across the project lifecycle - from conceptual studies to full design and construction administration. Responsible for planning and managing project staffing requirements, reporting project performance, and identifying and addressing scope creep, schedule, or quality issues to ensure a successful delivery of assigned projects.Our Buildings + Places practice includes architecture, interiors, building and system engineering, urbanism, and planning (inclusive of landscape design), strategy +, economics, technology solutions, asset advisory, and cost and program management. This diverse team assists our clients from strategy through project realization, creating positive outcomes for those who occupy and use the buildings and environments we help to create. AECOM Sports focuses on the Sports Venues, which encompasses everything from performance and development facilities to primary competition venues, ranging anywhere from small collegiate clients to the largest of professional leagues and franchises. We look to combine beauty, sustainability, resiliency, equity, and innovation in our projects and believe these values can be instilled in any project regardless of size or budget.Some of our recent projects include Intuit Dome, the most technologically advanced sports arena ever designed, and Foster Pavilion, a transformative new arena that will bolster the landscape of the University of Baylor campus, and University of Central Florida football campus upgrades that will propel UCF into a new athletic conference.Job Summary/Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Working with interdisciplinary technical leads in coordinated successful execution of projects in design and constructionEngaging with both Team leaders, Client Contacts, and Partner firmsReviewing and negotiating contracts and preparing fee proposalsManaging and leading teams and staffSuccessfully developing strategy, mitigation efforts, proposals, contract review, and leading project teams to execute projectsManaging and supporting all technical, financial, and client satisfaction areas using established processes and toolsSupport business development efforts as required to engage new client opportunitiesManaging teams across business linesManaging subconsultant scope, fees, deliverables, and performanceCoordinating internal resources and third parties/subcontractors for the execution of projectsEnsuring that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budgetAssisting in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders, and ensuring technical feasibilityDeveloping and monitoring a detailed project plan to track progress and identify shortfalls in a timely mannerManaging changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs to minimize riskMeasuring project performance using appropriate tools and techniquesReporting and escalating to management as neededPerforming risk management to minimize project risksMaintaining project documentation controlQualificationsMinimum Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, plus four +4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.Preferred Qualifications:8+ years of progressively responsible experience in Architecture or Engineering leading multidisciplinary teams on business development (e.g., project proposals) and project deliverables (e.g., technical reports, studies, construction documents) is strongly preferred4+ years with specific Project Management related experience in Sports VenuesExperience in implementing design quality assurance and quality control activitiesExcellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated team-building ability and internal/ external networking skillsAbility to interact regularly and professionally with senior management and technical staff in other offices on business development and project execution issuesDemonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing prioritiesProven organizational skills with a proven track record in client satisfactionAdditional InformationSponsorship is not available for this opportunityAt AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
