PRN Occupational Therapist

 

Location: Mechanicsburg, Harrisburg, and surrounding area!

Starting Pay: $25.00 per hour base rate, $50-$70 per visit (different rates for evaluations, starts of care, discharges, resumption of care, recertification visits)

General Purpose:
As an Occupational Therapist with Interim HealthCare in Mechanicsburg, you will provide essential therapy services to treat physical impairments, functional limitations, disabilities, and changes in physical function associated with our patients' health status. Your interventions will be in accordance with the patient's plan of care and accepted professional standards, ensuring quality treatment that promotes optimal patient outcomes.

Occupational Therapist Essential Functions:

• Evaluate and treat clients in their home environment 
• Regularly assess patient status and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Educate and counsel patients and families to promote understanding with treatment goals.
• Document clinical findings and treatment progress accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with nurses, physical therapists, and family members

Occupational Therapist Requirements:

• Current license as an Occupational Therapist in PA
• Preferred: At least two years of relevant experience within the last five years.
• Reliable transportation
• CPR Certification 
• Compassionate, organized, and self-motivated 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Current CPR certification.
• Proficient with computer applications and documentation systems.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and team members.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing patient needs.

Working Conditions:

• Travel within the geographic area serviced by the office is required.
• Work is primarily conducted in residential settings or facilities.
• Physical demands include standing, walking, bending, lifting, and transferring patients.
