Job Description Job Title Mental Health Specialist (MHS) (LSW or LPC required) Reports to Mental Health Clinical Supervisor (LISW-S or LPCC-S) Compensation Hourly Classification FT, Non-Exempt Productivity #25 Billable Hours Weekly Benefit’s Level #4 Direct Reports N/A Work Schedule 9a-5p Monday-Friday, Variable Schedule Position Description: Licensed Social Worker (LSW) position provides mental health treatment and support services using evidence based techniques. Primary job responsibility is to provide assessment, psychoeducation, individual service/treatment development, case management and other mental and behavioral health services to clients with mental illness within your scope of practice. Assess clients to determine and/confirm diagnosis. Develop, implement and coordinate treatment plays for psycho-social needs of each client on your caseload to include supportive counseling to client and case management and supportive treatment to the client and for family members as medically necessary. Collaborate with supervising clinician, Directors and staff as it relates to client services. This position will receive 1:1 and/or group supervision from supervisors through direct observation, clinical meetings, and/or videos. Supervision may be provided by different supervisors based on the service provided or work being completed. Supervision is provided regularly and is documented. In addition, Licensed Mental Health Specialists are required to attend team meetings, staff professional development sessions per their specific staff development plan, scheduled training, and continuing education as required by the licensing board. Finally, this position requires the staff member to maintain all current licenses as required by the Ohio licensing board(s). Minimum Requirements, Knowledge, and Skills: Knowledge and ability to competently perform in lowerstatus positions withinthe department/organization Excellent written and verbal communication skills; communicate effectively including in a timely manner following company requirements (within 24 hours); model of quality documentation; proactive communication with leadership Excellent teamwork and leadership skills; model of professionalism and implementation of all policies, procedures, laws, and regulations including meeting ongoing background check requirements Knowledge and competent use of computer, internet navigation, email management, electronic health record systems Ability to learn quickly and adapt to situational events Detail oriented, excellent organizational skills Reliable, punctual, excellent attendance (e.g., has reliable transportation to and from work) Respond positively to and immediately implement feedback accordingly Ability to positively interact with clients, families, and other stakeholders Knowledge of current and evidence-based practices for behavioral health treatment Credentials Required: Ohio Licensed LSW or LPC Credentials Preferred: Ohio Licensed LSW or LPC Education and/or Experience Requirements: A bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in social work, psychology, or in related human services.
