WHAT YOU'LL DO IN THIS POSITION

The Student Affairs Administrative Assistant serves as a welcoming first point of contact for students, faculty, alumni, and visitors while providing essential administrative support to the Student Affairs team and the Dean. In this role, you’ll help coordinate the Dean’s calendar and administrative needs, support student services and law school examinations, maintain the student pro bono program and service records, and assist with events and special projects. You’ll play an important role in keeping the Student Affairs Office organized, responsive, and running smoothly.

Essential Duties:

• Serve as the primary receptionist by welcoming visitors, answering phones, responding to voicemail, and directing inquiries

• Provide administrative support to Student Affairs staff and the Dean, including routine office operations, scheduling, errands, and special projects.​

• Maintain and coordinate the Dean's calendar, including meetings and appointments, and coordinate travel logistics with the Student Affairs Office Manager and Director of Internal Affairs

• Maintain the student pro bono database, accurately track student service hours, and coordinate pro bono graduation recognition and reporting.

• Assist with administration of law school examinations and provide administrative support for student programs and services; respond to student questions and direct students to appropriate Student Affairs resources.

• Assist with Student Affairs events, projects, and initiatives and perform other duties as assigned to support Student Affairs operations.

WHAT QUALIFIES YOU FOR THIS ROLE?

Required:

• 2 years of administrative, assistant, or professional experience.

• Ability to provide professional customer service and communication with students, faculty, alumni, visitors, and external partners.

• Administrative organization, prioritization, scheduling, calendar coordination, and office operations.

• Ability for accurate database maintenance, recordkeeping, reporting, and attention to detail

• Discretion and sound judgment when handling routine, confidential, or sensitive matters, with the ability to coordinate travel, events, student services, examinations, and multiple concurrent assignments.

Preferred :

• Bachelor's degree and one year of related legal experience.

Pay Level: 47

Typical Starting Pay Range: $18.75 to $23.75 an hour

The actual compensation offered will take into consideration internal equity and may vary based on the candidate’s job-related experience, knowledge, skills, and other relevant factors. Candidates with very significant work-related experience may receive an offer higher than the posted typical range.
