Job Title: Senior ServiceNow Developer
Location: Tysons Corner, VA (Hybrid / Remote)
Duration: Fulltime

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior ServiceNow Developer to support the design, development, integration, deployment, and ongoing optimization of enterprise ServiceNow solutions. The ideal candidate will combine strong ServiceNow development expertise with the ability to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions, resolve complex production issues, and maintain secure, high-performing platform implementations in a federal environment.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• 6+ years of ServiceNow development experience, including at least 2 years supporting Federal environments.
• Proven ability to translate business and functional requirements into detailed technical designs and implementation approaches.
• Experience designing and developing scalable, maintainable ServiceNow solutions aligned with enterprise architecture and business objectives.
• Strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow configuration and customization, including development of platform functionality to meet complex business requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct and participate in code reviews and technical/design reviews, ensuring adherence to development standards, security requirements, performance expectations, and maintainability best practices.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with experience diagnosing and resolving complex production issues across ServiceNow applications and integrations.
• Experience optimizing ServiceNow record queries and platform performance, including identifying and addressing inefficient queries, scripts, configurations, and other performance bottlenecks.
• Ability to design and implement secure ServiceNow applications and integrations, incorporating appropriate platform security and enterprise security practices.
• Experience managing and supporting software deployments across DEV, TEST, UAT, and PROD environments, including deployment coordination, validation, troubleshooting, and release management.
• Working knowledge of ServiceNow AI and automation capabilities, including Now Assist and other AI-enabled platform capabilities, with an understanding of how these technologies can support enterprise workflows and automation.
• Strong understanding of the key technical and functional subject areas necessary to successfully perform the work

• Platform and application performance optimization
• ServiceNow automation and AI capabilities

Certifications

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) - required.
• ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) - required/preferred for applicable domains, including ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, and HAM/SAM, as applicable to the candidate's assigned responsibilities.
• Equivalent certifications or qualifications may be considered where they demonstrate comparable ServiceNow expertise.

Candidates should be capable of working across the full development lifecycle from requirements analysis and technical design through configuration, customization, integration, testing, deployment, production support, and performance optimization while maintaining strong standards for security, scalability, reliability, and code quality.

Compensation :
The expected compensation range for this position is $100,000 - $150,000 annually. Compensation is determined in good faith and may vary based on job-related factors, including relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, clearance level, labor category alignment, contract requirements, work location, internal equity, and business needs.
The posted range reflects the Sky's reasonable estimate at the time of posting and does not guarantee a specific salary or rate. Final compensation will be determined based on the selected candidate's qualifications and applicable contractual and business considerations.
