Overview

Think is seeking a Senior ServiceNow (Discovery) Developer with deep expertise in ServiceNow Discovery, CMDB, and cloud infrastructure integrations. This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, optimizing, and supporting enterprise Discovery solutions that provide accurate configuration data across on-premises and cloud environments.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow Discovery, MID Servers, Discovery Patterns, CMDB health, and cloud resource discovery within AWS, Azure, and GCP. This position works closely with ServiceNow engineers, infrastructure teams, and cloud platform teams to ensure accurate asset visibility, data integrity, and operational excellence across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support enterprise-scale ServiceNow Discovery solutions.
• Configure and maintain MID Servers supporting Discovery operations across infrastructure environments.
• Develop and optimize Discovery Patterns, Sensors, and custom Discovery configurations.
• Manage and maintain CMDB data quality utilizing Identification & Reconciliation Engine (IRE) best practices.
• Support discovery and lifecycle management of cloud resources across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Troubleshoot Discovery failures, credential issues, performance bottlenecks, and infrastructure integrations.
• Partner with infrastructure, cloud, and ServiceNow platform teams to improve CMDB accuracy and operational efficiency.
• Develop automation and tooling using Python and other scripting technologies.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, standards, and operational procedures.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity and solution delivery.
• Support platform enhancements, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of ServiceNow development and administration experience.
• Strong hands-on experience implementing and supporting ServiceNow Discovery in enterprise environments.
• ServiceNow Discovery Certification (required and must be validated prior to submission).
• Expert-level knowledge of:
  • MID Servers
  • Discovery Patterns
  • Discovery Sensors
  • CMDB Management
  • Identification & Reconciliation Engine (IRE)
  • CMDB Health and Governance
• Experience discovering and managing cloud resources within:
  • AWS
  • Microsoft Azure
  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Experience troubleshooting complex Discovery and CMDB issues.
• Working knowledge of Python scripting and automation.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure, networking, and cloud architecture concepts.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS cloud experience strongly preferred.
• Experience supporting enterprise ServiceNow environments hosted in AWS.
• Knowledge of cloud security, networking, and infrastructure automation.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow platform integrations and enterprise IT Operations Management (ITOM) solutions.
• Experience working in highly regulated or mission-critical environments.

Candidates should be comfortable utilizing AI-powered development tools as part of their daily workflow, including:

Experience leveraging AI tools to improve code quality, automation, troubleshooting, and productivity is highly desired.

Candidates must have access to a ServiceNow Personal Developer Instance (PDI) prior to the interview.
