Previously, known as High Roller Sand, this plant was added to the Iron Oak Energy portfolio in April 2025 and is currently being integrated into Iron Oak Energy's Human Resource system.The Maintenance Mechanic III is a highly skilled position that requires mid to expert level skills. Under minimal supervision, the Maintenance Technician III will carry out a wide range of troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on sand plant equipment and systems. Will help mentor and train junior technicians to grow in their roles.Essential Functions And ResponsibilitiesMust be self-directed and able to independently perform a wide range of troubleshooting and repairing of sand plant equipment and systems.Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problems or repair plant machinery.Contributes to the development and training of lower-level technicians.Performs routinely scheduled preventative maintenance on plant equipment and systems.Position requires exceptional attendance record.Follows all lockout/tagout procedures.Works independently on advanced projects and has the ability to plan out such projects.Able to take all production calls and has the knowledge to determine priority of repairs.Must be proficient in the use of CMMS (FIIX) system.Must be able to proficiently weld and fabricate.Coaches, mentors, and trains less experienced mechanics.Able to work planned and unplanned hours in support of a 24/7 plant operation, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.Must have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.Exhibits a positive attitude for team members to emulate.Must have excellent decision-making skills.Meet deadlines of individual tasks during shiftWork cooperatively with others in a team environment.Perform duties safely and responsibly while always observing all MSHA safety guidelines.Other duties as assigned.Education / Experience RequirementsMinimum of 3 years' experience as a Maintenance Technician at a sand plantSkills And Ability ExpectationsMid to expert maintenance skills sufficient to troubleshoot, repair, and perform maintenance on sand plant equipment and systems.Must be able to change bearings, change conveyors, and splice conveyors with no supervision.Basic computer skillsFamiliar with MSHA standardsMust have the ability to read blue prints/schematics.Must be able to wear a respirator and other required personal protective equipment.Must have and maintain a valid driver's licenseExpectationsUnderstand, support, and execute all work in a safe manner and contribute to a culture that promotes safety as its overriding priority.A positive attitude is a Must.Must have a team player attitude with high-level of self-motivation requiring minimal supervision.Adapt to frequent job duty changes as required by business and workforce demands.Complete tasks within designated time limits to meet production standards.Focuses on making today and this week a success.Set the example by actively contributing to department and company goals.Physical RequirementsMust be able to traverse and access all areas of the plant to diagnose issues and perform repairs.Prolonged periods standing and walking.Must be able to visually inspect machines.Must be able to work safely in a noisy area.Must be able to work under various temperatures ranging from typical 10 to 115 degrees Fahrenheit.Benefits:401(k)Dental InsuranceDisability InsuranceHealth InsuranceLife InsuranceVision InsuranceIron Oak Energy is an equal opportunity employer.
