At MGM Resorts, we seek individuals like YOU to create unique and show-stopping experiences for our guests.**THE JOB:** As a Bartender, you will be responsible for being knowledgeable of menu items, liquor brands, beers and non‐alcoholic selections as well as maintaining the appearance of the bar. You will also set the stage for guest experience with your welcoming smile and service. By understanding their unique stories and needs, you will own their experience to create WOW memories they will carry with them far and beyond their stay with us.**THE STARTING RATE:** $17.9497 USD Hourly **THE DAY-TO-DAY:*** Make and serve alcoholic and non‐alcoholic drinks, proportioning ingredients according to standardized recipes and provide food service as needed* Clean equipment, tools, and supplies and ensure equipment is in good working order; including, cleanliness, sanitation and appearance of the bar* Knowledgeable of menu items, liquor brands, beers and non‐alcoholic selections available* Ring poured or served beverages, collect payment, and follow all cash handling and variance procedures, including preparing daily reports and submitting appropriate paperwork* Provide Apprentice Bartender and Bar Porter with training and mentoring on overall function of the bar, guest service and bartending* Maintain bar inventory according to set pars and internal controls, and request product to maintain stock in bar* Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise refer the matter to management, notify supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft* Perform other job‐related duties as requested**THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:*** Is 2+ years of age* Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays* High school diploma or equivalent preferred* 2+ Years of prior relevant experience in a bar or similar setting preferred* Experience working in a similar resort setting preferred**THE PERKS & BENEFITS:*** Wellness incentive programs to help you stay healthy physically and mentally* Access to company hotel, food and beverage, retail, and entertainment discounts as well as discounts with company partners on things like travel, electronics, online shopping, and more* Free meals in our employee dining room* Free parking on and off shift* Health & Income Protection benefits (for eligible employees)* Professional and personal development through programs and networking opportunities as well as volunteer opportunities in the community**VIEW JOB DESCRIPTION:** you ready to **JOIN THE SHOW**?
