J OB HIGHLIGHTS
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year work experience with individuals and/or children with disabilities required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge in the modifications, adaptation, and use of specialized equipment
- General knowledge of computer uses and programs required
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrated ability to teach others. Including Daily Living Skills, social skills, and community involvement
- Assist and support children and youth with disabilities in becoming actively involved in their communities, develop friendships, and independent use of community resources
- Regularly provide opportunities for inclusion through planned activities, social interactions, exposure, advocacy, training, and education as identified in the assessment and planning process
- Provide assistance with personal care tasks, as needed (i.e., mobility, eating, bathroom, etc.)
- Be knowledgeable in and able to document properly on all individual services provided daily in the required time limit and format
- Ability to maintain open, respectful, and clear communication with the participant, their families, and supervisor
- Meet all necessary training requirements
- Transport and accompany individuals to community activities in company or personal vehicles
- Must pass WI caregiver background check
- Valid Drivers License
- Ability to work flexible/non-standard schedule (including some evenings and weekends)
- This position requires use of a company email address which requires an application to be downloaded on your personal cell phone for multi-factor authentication (MFA) to ensure cyber security.
- Reliable vehicle (unless determined exempt with HR.)
