The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, knowledge of welding equipment and processes, is familiar with computer systems, and has a sales mentality.Your Day-to-DayOpen and closing the store, counting money and balancing cash drawersStay up to date with current sales, promotions, and policies regarding payment and exchangesRecommend merchandise based upon customer needs and desiresDescribe and explain use, safe operation, and care of merchandise to customersPrice, bar code, and stock merchandiseClean and stock shelves, counters, and tablesCompute sales pricing, finalize purchases, receive/process cash or credit paymentsCustomer ExperienceStore upkeepSafetyStocking ProductDelivery Preparation (outgoing)Other duties as assignedWhat You Bring to the TeamExcellent time management/organizational skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsWork independently and with othersCustomer service experienceBasic computer skills i.e. Excel, Outlook, Microsoft OfficeHigh School Diploma or equivalentWelding experience or knowledge preferredRetail sales experienced preferredClass B CDL with Hazmat preferredBe able to stand on your feet 7 to 8 hours a day with lots of walking, twisting, bending, reaching, pushing/pulling, grasping, sitting and repetitive motionsFrequent lifting of 10-20lbs is required, may at times lift up to 75lbsWhy General AirOur employees tell us that people choose General Air Service & Supply because of the way they are treated.
