Staff Accountant
A well-established Harford County organization is looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their accounting team. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity well-suited for someone with a solid accounting foundation who is looking to grow their career in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end close
- Support balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports
- Support budget preparation and tracking
- Assist with sales and use tax payments and returns
- Support full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Assist with the annual external review and other accounting department needs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- 1+ years of accounting experience
- Proficiency in Excel
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Experience with general ledger accounting software a plus
