Maintenance Technician – Minneapolis, MN

• Pay: $28–$30/hour
• Job Type: Full-Time
• Location: Minneapolis, MN

Career Strategies is hiring an experienced Maintenance Technician for an apartment community in Minneapolis, MN. We are looking for a skilled maintenance professional with hands-on experience in apartment maintenance, work orders, unit turns, preventative maintenance, and general building repairs .

Responsibilities

• Complete daily maintenance work orders and resident service requests
• Perform apartment turns and prepare units for new residents
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and general maintenance issues
• Perform preventative maintenance throughout the property
• Complete inspections and identify maintenance needs
• Maintain common areas, buildings, and grounds
• Respond to maintenance emergencies as needed
• Coordinate with property management regarding maintenance needs
• Maintain accurate work order records
• Follow safety procedures and property standards
• Provide professional and courteous service to residents

Qualifications

• Previous apartment maintenance, residential maintenance, or facilities maintenance experience
• Strong knowledge of general building maintenance
• Plumbing and electrical troubleshooting experience preferred
• HVAC and appliance repair experience preferred
• Experience with apartment turns and work orders
• Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple requests
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
• Ability to perform physical maintenance duties, including lifting, bending, climbing, and standing
