Maintenance Technician – St. Paul, MN

• Pay: $28–$30/hour

Career Strategies is hiring a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician for an apartment community in St. Paul, MN. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced maintenance professional with a background in apartment maintenance, residential repairs, preventative maintenance, work orders, and apartment turnovers .

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance work orders and resident service requests
• Perform apartment turns and prepare vacant units for new residents
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and general building systems
• Perform preventative and routine maintenance
• Inspect apartments, common areas, and building systems
• Complete repairs and maintenance tasks efficiently and professionally
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests when needed
• Maintain clean, safe, and functional common areas
• Document completed work orders and repairs
• Work closely with property management and other maintenance staff
• Follow all property safety procedures and maintenance standards
• Provide professional customer service to residents

Qualifications

• Previous apartment maintenance, residential maintenance, facilities maintenance, or property maintenance experience
• General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and building systems
• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills
• Apartment turnover and work order experience preferred
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong communication and resident service skills
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
• Ability to perform physical maintenance duties
