2nd Shift Production & Warehouse Supervisor

Location: Northern NJ
Shift: 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – Midnight
Pay range: $75K to $100K

Position Summary

We are seeking a hands-on 2nd Shift Supervisor to lead production and warehouse operations during the evening shift. This role requires someone who does more than understand what needs to happen — they make it happen. The ideal candidate closes the loop on every task, follows up without being asked twice, and can be trusted to run the shift with the same rigor whether or not management is on-site.

Key Responsibilities

• Own shift performance from start to finish: production/shipping
• Own quality, safety, and attendance performance
• Assign tasks clearly and verify completion — not just delegate and assume
• Identify problems before they become escalations; proactively communicate issues to Operations in real time, not after the fact
• Hold associates accountable to standards, safety protocols, and productivity goals
• Track and report shift metrics accurately at the end of every shift
• Conduct effective shift handoffs with detailed, actionable notes for the next shift manager
• Coach, train, mentor and discipline associates as needed
• Manage shift staffing — attendance, breaks, overtime — and adjust in real time to hit targets

• Accountability: Owns shift outcomes personally; doesn't pass blame downward or wait to be asked for status
• Proactive communication: Flags problems the moment they're identified, with a plan - not a surprise at shift end
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and still deliver consistent, measurable results

Qualifications

• 5+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing, production, or warehouse environment
• Proven track record of hitting production/shipping targets and closing out action items
• Working knowledge of safety standards, quality processes, and basic inventory/production systems
• Strong verbal and written communication skills — able to document issues and report clearly
• Bilingual skills are a plus
• High school diploma/GED required; associate's or bachelor's degree a plus

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods on the production/warehouse floor
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. as needed
• Comfortable working in a warehouse/production environment
