Location: Orion Building - 6630 Orion Drive, Fort Myers, FL 33912 Schedule: Full Time | Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Pay Transparency You Can Count On:

• External candidates will start at $20.50/hour
• We intentionally pay ABOVE market value for this role

• Full pay range: $20.50 - $24.09/hour

As an Insurance Services Specialist, youll be the critical link between patients, providers, and insurance carriers. Your day will include:

• Verifying insurance eligibility and benefits with accuracy
• Securing authorizations and referrals for outpatient services
• Reviewing accounts for completeness and compliance
• Communicating clearly with patients and internal teams
• Navigating payer requirements and resolving discrepancies
• Utilizing EMR systems to ensure seamless documentation

Education:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Clerical/Administrative Experience Required
• Healthcare Insurance Experience Required
• Epic EMR Experience Preferred
• Customer Service Experience Preferred

As the first point of access for Lee Health patients, this position completes and assists with Insurance Verification, authorizations, and financial screening to secure maximum reimbursement for the Lee Health System. It also requires excellent verbal, analytical and customer service skills due to the varying methods of continuous communication that occurs telephonically. Requires extensive computer knowledge and analytical experience to navigate and interpret the information provided by a multitude of entities. Requires prioritization, detail orientation, organized, flexible while working within high volume work queues. This job requires the ability to understand medical terminology pertinent to obtaining the authorizations needed for services.
