Maintenance Mechanic I The Maintenance Mechanic I is responsible for ensuring manufacturing equipment and the facility are well‑maintained and in good working order. Duties include inspecting, repairing, and maintaining various systems and equipment, as well as performing routine upkeep tasks. May also assist in the installation of new equipment and systems. Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions Diagnose and repair manufacturing equipment. Safely perform emergency repairs on production equipment. Disassemble, reassemble, and inspect equipment. Perform preventative maintenance. Effectively document and keep records of repairs and maintenance during shift. Education / Experience High school diploma or GED required. Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English. Knowledge of food and beverage industry, yields, and production processes. 2 years of related manufacturing mechanical experience. 2+ years of related experience in packing/production machines. Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics. Experience with basic electrical systems. Experience with mechanical systems. Experience with basic instrumentation and automation. Experience with schematics and electrical blueprints. Experience with product manuals. Experience with pumps. Strong math skills.
