Neurotology Otolaryngologist

The Department of Otorhinolaryngology -Head and Neck Surgery at our organization is seeking a full-time, board-certified or board-eligible Neurotologist. This role focuses on a comprehensive range of Neurotologic conditions, such as CPA and lateral skull base tumors, infectious and inflammatory issues of the temporal bone, CSF otorrhea, facial nerve and vestibular disorders, as well as various types of hearing loss and tinnitus.

We are looking for a candidate who possesses the expertise to address the complete spectrum of Neurotology-otolaryngologic conditions, particularly in managing hearing loss and tinnitus. Our department collaborates closely with Neurosurgery and Radiation Oncology, forming a robust multi-disciplinary alliance for skull-based disorders. Clinical responsibilities will primarily take place at our downtown facilities, including the University Medical Center and the VA Medical Center in Baltimore, with potential support at additional sites that align with our strategic clinical goals. Teaching medical students and residents, along with a passion for clinical and translational research, is essential. For those with a strong research background, there may be initial protected time and resources available to establish a research program that is expected to secure independent funding over time.

Qualifications:

• Board certification or eligibility in Neurotology-otolaryngology.
• Completion of a Neurotology fellowship.
• Eligibility for an unrestricted medical license in the State of Maryland.
• A medical degree from an accredited domestic institution or its foreign equivalent.
• A strong dedication to patient care and education.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.

The anticipated rank for this position is Assistant Professor or higher, with the final rank and tenure status determined by the candidate's experience.

Compensation:

The expected salary range for this role is between $340,000 and $425,000, contingent on rank and experience. This range reflects base pay based on faculty rank and years of service. It does not encompass all elements of the department's compensation program or earnings from participation in variable compensation initiatives. Therefore, the actual salary for the selected candidate may differ from the stated range.

The compensation range represents the minimum and maximum salary for this position, based on our organization's good faith assessment at the time of posting. Not all candidates will qualify for the upper end of the salary range. The final compensation offered will depend on various factors, including geographic location, skills, work experience, internal equity, market conditions, and education/training, as reasonably determined by our organization.
