About the Position

HPA Healthcare is recruiting a Board-Certified Cardiologist for a long-term locum tenens opportunity providing overnight inpatient cardiology coverage at a regional medical center in North Carolina .

This unique position is ideal for physicians seeking flexible supplemental income through scheduled night and weekend coverage without clinic responsibilities or invasive procedures. The physician will serve as the second-call cardiologist , providing inpatient consultations, Evaluation & Management (E&M) services, and interpretation of echocardiograms and nuclear cardiology studies for hospitalized adult patients.

The assignment offers a flexible monthly schedule requiring approximately one week of coverage and one weekend per month , with non-consecutive shifts permitted.

Please Note: This opportunity is strictly limited to local physicians . Candidates must live within commuting distance of the facility, as travel, lodging, mileage, and airfare reimbursement are not available.
