Our work depends on an Information Systems Security Officer joining our team to support USPACOM J6 mission outcomes through cybersecurity, modernization, secure integration, and operational collaboration across the Pacific.GDIT is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer to support USPACOM J6 Cybersecurity activities at JBPH-H, helping modernize enterprise IT capabilities and strengthen mission partner interoperability across the Pacific.How the Information Systems Security Officer Will Make an ImpactSupport cybersecurity engineering, RMF, and security compliance activities for USPACOM J6 enterprise environments.Assess security posture, track control implementation, and coordinate remediation with engineering and operations teams.Support RMF documentation, security control validation, POA&M management, and audit readiness activities.Partner with engineers and system owners to identify, communicate, and reduce cybersecurity risk.Collaborate with USPACOM J6 stakeholders, service components, mission partners, and GDIT team members to resolve technical challenges.Prepare clear technical documentation, briefings, status inputs, and recommendations for customer and internal leadership.What You'll Need to SucceedEducation: B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent years of experience (can substitute 5 years of experience in lieu of a degree)Required Experience: 8+ years of relevant experience supporting the role, mission area, or equivalent DoW/enterprise IT environment (or 13+ years of experience without a degree)Required Technical Skills: ISSO duties; RMF package support; security controls assessment; POA&M tracking; audit readiness; DoW cybersecurity policy.Security Clearance Level: Active Top Secret.Required Skills and Abilities: Strong communication, analytical problem-solving, technical writing, customer engagement, and ability to coordinate across engineering, cybersecurity, operations, and mission partner teams.Preferred Skills: Experience supporting USPACOM, combatant command, service component, or joint/coalition mission environments. Experience working in government site environments and coordinating with military and civilian stakeholders. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
