Data Management Officer

First Hawaiian Bank is currently seeking a Data Management Officer to join our Data Management Department team. Compensation: The annual salary range for this role is: $100,000 - $125,000 per year; commensurate with experience.Work Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (hours may vary)The ideal candidate will have: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Management Information Systems or Computer Science, or 10 years of equivalent work experience required10 years SQL Server or Oracle database experience required10 years of equivalent work experience preferredExpert knowledge of SQL programming languageExpert knowledge of procedure or scripting languageAble to design and build databases (Oracle and/or SQL Server)Proficient in developing database specifications and documentationETL development (Informatica, etc.)Data warehouse design, development and supportKnowledge of business intelligence and analytic software toolsExpert Knowledge in database and data warehouse tuning and administration toolsExpert in building schema, tables, procedures, and permissionsAble to gather technical and business requirements and develop feasible solutionsGood interpersonal skills and is able to work well with end-users in assisting them with system and application problem resolutionKnowledgeable in project life cycle requirements (PLC) and able to apply them to application development projectsGood written and verbal communication skills in order to address user concerns, document systems and procedures, prepare evaluations and proposals and provide reporting to managementUnder general supervision of the manager/supervisor, the Data Management Officer determines data and application requirements and coordinates the implementation of database solutions (SQL Server and/or Oracle); provides users with ongoing database support, including assistance with reporting, tuning, development (including ETL), analysis, design, testing, conversions, interfaces and other system implementation activities. Also provides administrative and operational support in accordance with established policies and procedures.Full timePosting Date: 2026-02-28
