Responsibilities include copper brazing, soldering, threading, and assembling PVC/CPVC/Steel pipes, as well as overseeing the installation of valves, supports, flanges, and other key components in piping systems. The Foreman will also be responsible for identifying and repairing leaks, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the seamless operation of plumbing systems. In addition to hands-on responsibilities, the Plumber Foreman will train and mentor apprentices, guiding them in proper techniques and safety protocols. The role involves coordinating materials, labor, and equipment to ensure project timelines are met efficiently. Ensuring adherence to safety regulations and maintaining high-quality workmanship are critical aspects of this position. To be successful you should have a minimum of 4 - 5 years of experience in commercial and industrial plumbing, a valid journeyman's license, and comprehensive knowledge of plumbing codes, backflow devices, and blueprint interpretation. Strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining safety and quality standards are essential for this role.Responsibilities:Measure, cut, and bend various sizes of pipe and tubing to required angle/length using pipe cutters and bendersCopper Brazing and solderingThreading and assembling steel pipePrepare, fabricate, fit and install pipe to specificationsInstall valves, hangers, supports and flanges in piping systems according to plans and applicable specificationsRepair leaks in all types of pipe systemsAssemble, install and repair piping systems according to specifications and appropriate trade and building codesAssist with coordination of materials, labor and equipmentResponsible for training and developing apprenticesEnsure all safety procedures and quality standards are followedWork with other departments as neededRequirements:Minimum 4 - 5 years of Commercial and Industrial Plumbing experienceKnowledge of the plumbing codes, building codes, and manufacturing guidelines, which typically apply to the work assignmentKnowledge of the standard methods, materials, tools, and equipment of the plumbing trade, including water and gas heating unitsKnowledge of the potential occupational hazards connected with plumbing work and the safety standards and practices which should be appliedSkill in the use of the tools of the plumbing tradeSkill in the installation and repair of plumbing fixturesSkill in diagnosing the cause of plumbing problems.Ability to draw and interpret isometric drawings, the arrangement and relationship of plumbing systemsAbility to interpret and apply blueprints, schematics, maintenance manuals, and assembly instructions to plumbing installations and problemsAbility to study and comprehend new technologyAbility to make (scaling) mathematical computationsJourneyman's plumber licenseKnowledge of backflow devicesPreferred Requirements:Backflow certificationEquipment & tool experience:Aerial lift Operation – Boom & Scissor LiftForklift Operation - Material Handling up to 8000#TelehandlerDrain clearingPropressMegapressHand bendersPipe grooverFloor cutterGas cutting torch (Preferred)Chauffeur LIC/Med DOT Physical (Preferred)Trailer Loading and Securing of Material (Preferred)Hydrostatic test pump knowledge & setup (Preferred)Backflow test gauges (Preferred)Rigging Requirements:Use & recognize rigging hardware including hooks, shackles, wire rope clips, clamps, eye bolts, softeners and tag linesIdentifies common load configurations & positioningCalculate load weightsRigger 2 training – trains on abovePhysical Requirements:Must be able to ascend/descend ladders, scaffolds, stairs, and/or operate scissor/boom lifts while working at heightWork in permit & non-permit required confined spaces and in proximity to loud equipmentMust be able to lift and carry or otherwise move up to 50 pounds regularly/occasionallyMust be able to respond quickly to auditory alarms, visual signals, or other effective means to communicate hazardsMust be able to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spacesMust be able to work in cold/hot environmentsMust be able to traverse irregular and steep terrainThis job description reflects management's assignment of essential functions and herein restricts managements right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.
