Mammography Technologist

Role Overview The radiologic technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures, including mammograms, general x-rays (chest, extremities, skull, sinuses), with a focus on pediatric and podiatry cases. They operate x-ray equipment, ensuring proper exposure and safety protocols are followed to produce high-quality images for diagnosis. Key Responsibilities Position patients accurately using immobilization and protective equipment. Adjust and operate x-ray equipment adhering to radiation safety standards. Process and match images with patient records for interpretation. Perform safety checks, report equipment issues, and maintain department records. Assist with exams, provide patient instructions, and support educational activities for radiology students. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and confidentiality within the department. Ensure compliance with radiation safety, quality assurance, and infection control policies. Manage patient flow, obtain necessary consents, and coordinate with physicians for timely interpretation of exams. Qualifications & Skills Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Eligible for or certified in Advanced Mammography. Proficiency in computer systems such as BCA, Microsoft Word, and EMR/EHR platforms. Additional Details The role operates Monday through Friday, from 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., with no weekend requirements. #J-18808-Ljbffr
