Position / Specialty: Dialysis RNShift: 4x10s - 0700-1730 + 2/3 overnight calls. Every third Saturday, then on call until Monday 0700. 1 hour response time for call. Emergent cases only. Closed on Sundays, just the weekend nurse on call.

Avg. Daily Census: 3-6. 2 room, 4 bed unit.Years of experience REQ: Minimum 1 year experience requiredFirst-timers accepted: Yes.Weekend REQ: Will work every other weekendCerts REQ: BLS required, ACLS preferred.Is on-call REQ? Yes- call required as needed.

Required Work Setting Experience: Acute Care Inpatient Dialysis. Required Patient Care Experience: Acute renal failure, Acute Kidney Injury, Hemodialysis, Peritoneal dialysis. Required Dialysis treatment Skills/Experience: Administration of blood/blood products during treatment, Administration of Mannitol/albumin/ 23.4% NaCL, Blood flow rates (Qb), Dialysate flow rate (Qd), Peritoneal catheter malfunction, Vascular access malfunction, Venous pressure. Required Equipment Skills/Experience: B. Braun Dialog. Required Initiate/ set up dialysis treatment Skills/Experience: Absence of disinfectant in system, Ability to cannulate AV graft, Ability to cannulate AV fistula, Tunneled/ Non Tunneled Catheter. Required Machine alarm troubleshooting procedures Skills/Experience: Arterial pressure alarm, Blood leak detector, Conductivity alarm, Venous pressure alarm. Required Post dialysis treatment Skills/Experience: Post treatment access care. Required Professional Knowledge and Skills: Airway management, Blood glucose monitoring, Infection control. Required Symptom management Skills/Experience: Air emboli, Cardiac arrest, Chest pain, Clotted access/poor blood flow rate, Disequilibrium syndrome, Filter blood leak, Fluid overload, Hyperkalemia, Hypotension, Muscle cramps, Pyrogenic reaction, Seizures. Cerner experience preferred. Teaching Hospital Experience, Community Hospital Experience, Trauma Level I & II Experience preferred.
