Description: The position requires working in a cardiac catheterization lab. Shifts are 12 hours long, from 0700 to 1930, with required on-call duties. One night of call per week and up to every other weekend is expected. The unit has three procedure rooms. Candidates will be handling diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations. Procedures include TAVR and Mitraclip, with a focus on high-acuity cases. Knowledge of advanced imaging techniques such as Rotablator, IVUS, and Shockwave is preferred. The role involves working with both CV and Radiology technicians experienced in cath lab procedures. There are resources available including an IV team, respiratory therapy, and pharmacy 24/7. The charting system used is electronic, specifically Cerner. Candidates must be prepared for potential cancellations up to four shifts during the assignment. The environment stresses high-quality patient care in an acute setting.
