Candidates should possess the required certification in BLS and ACLS. Candidates should hold a valid nursing license. Description: The role involves working in a cardiac cath lab environment. The nurse will participate in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures. High acuity cases such as TAVR and Mitraclip procedures are expected. Experience with peripheral vascular cases is a plus. Candidates should be familiar with various cardiac interventions, including Rotablator, IVUS, Shockwave, Impella, and Balloon Pump. The unit operates with a case volume of approximately 3000 per year. The electronic medical record system used is Cerner and Merge Hemodynamics. The facility maintains a chest pain center accreditation and acts as a STEMI tertiary referral center. The schedule requires 12-hour shifts from 0700 to 1930, plus on-call responsibilities. On-call duties may include one night per week and up to every other weekend. Weekend and holiday work is also required. The environment utilizes IV teams and has 24/7 pharmacy support available. The nursing team may consist of CV Techs or Rad Techs with cath lab experience. The position requires working with an intensivist and the presence of a radiology team. Common diagnoses include findings related to cardiac catheterization and interventions. Candidates must ensure compliance with required certifications and licenses.
