This position plays a vital role in managing indirect materials, identifying warranty and repair opportunities, and optimizing vendor relationships to support seamless facility operations. You will work closely with the Indirect Materials Manager to drive strategic purchasing decisions, manage inventory and assets, and ensure timely procurement processes. Your expertise in SAP and logistics will directly contribute to cost savings, operational efficiency, and maintaining strong partnerships with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders across both facilities.What your day-to-day will look like:Oversee warranty and repair opportunity identification and processing using SAP systemManage inventory and asset tracking across both Orion ASM and Pontiac Stamping facilitiesExecute strategic purchasing initiatives by working with vendors to identify repair opportunities and cost-saving solutionsCollaborate with the Indirect Materials Leader and Manager to improve pricing, delivery timelines, and emergency order fulfillmentFollow up on purchase requisitions and purchase orders to ensure timely processing and deliveryPartner with the Warranty and Repair Administrator to maximize warranty claims and repair opportunitiesResolve order issues by coordinating with vendors, clients, and internal teamsCommunicate effectively with all levels of management, client representatives, maintenance teams, and vendorsRequired Qualifications:Minimum of two years' experience in logistics and material managementSAP system knowledge and hands-on experienceForklift (Hilo) operation experience and certificationAbility to multitask and work independently without direct supervisionProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of management, clients, maintenance teams, and vendorsSuperior customer service skills and client-focused orientationPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent work experience)Experience in manufacturing or automotive industry environmentsStrong organizational skills with collaborative working styleCritical thinking and problem-solving capabilitiesExperience managing vendor relationships and negotiationsKnowledge of warranty claim processes and repair procurement strategiesExperience working in multi-site facility environmentsLocation: Orion ASM and Pontiac Stamping, MISalary: $24.01/hourThis position does not provide visa sponsorship.
