Overview The Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) team at AspenTech is a high‑growth area that develops critical software for electric distribution utilities. Our mission is to help customers monitor, manage, control, and optimize complex grids in real‑time operations. Responsibilities Develop and maintain mission‑critical distribution grid management applications using C/C++. Collaborate with architects, developers, and stakeholders to design and implement robust, high‑performance features from requirements and user stories. Apply best practices in design and implementation, including design reviews, code reviews, and unit testing. Provide technical support to product management, delivery, and customer support teams. Troubleshoot and resolve software issues, diagnosing root causes and devising effective solutions. Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences. Co‑mentor and coach other developers on technologies and processes used within the team. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related technical field. 4+ years of experience in back‑end development with C/C++. Experience with platform‑independent tools, libraries, APIs, and daemon processes. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and troubleshooting skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across organizational levels. Passion for learning and tackling complex problems in the energy industry. Commitment to positively impact the energy transition. Salary Base compensation range: $109,600.00 – $137,000.00. The role may also be eligible for bonus or variable incentive pay.
