Position Title: Member Service Representative

Location: Pipefitters Steamfitters Credit Union 6445 Lake Road Terrace, Woodbury, MN 55125

Status: Full-Time / Monday – Friday

 

Overview:

Pipefitters Steamfitters Credit Union is currently seeking a Member Services Representative to provide friendly, helpful service to our members and their families with a high degree of accuracy and professionalism in accordance with credit union policies and procedures.

 

Accountabilities:

 

· Greet and welcome members to the credit union.

· Answer incoming phone calls and either address the caller’s needs or redirect to the appropriate office.

· Be consistently on time and ready to serve members at the appointed time.

· Perform common financial transactions including deposits into and withdrawals from personal accounts, assisting in bill and loan payments, properly identifying members, daily balancing and maintenance of vault, opening and maintaining new member accounts, placing appropriate monetary holds, identifying member’s financial needs and suggesting the appropriate product or staff member to assist in that fulfillment, night depository maintenance and recording, maintaining strict member confidentiality, balancing personal drawer and, if necessary, research and resolve discrepancies, maintaining form and supply levels, and other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

 

· Prior teller experience is preferred, though we will train the right candidate.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Superior member/customer service skills.

· High attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness.

· Must be a self-starter with high initiative.

 

Physical Requirements:

 

· Continuous standing, walking and sitting throughout day, occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, frequent bending and kneeling to reach supplies, continuous use of hands in repetitive tasks such as typing, counting currency, writing, and grasping, continuous speaking and listening to members and coworkers.
