Chief Financial Officer

We are partnering with a construction company in Quincy, MA who is looking to add a CFO to their team. This role will have ownership of both the accounting and finance functions and will play a key role in driving the company's financial strategy and operations. The ideal candidate will have strong construction industry experience, multi-state experience, and a hands‑on approach to leading the finance organization.

Responsibilities

• Own and oversee all accounting and finance functions for the organization
• Lead month-end, year-end, and financial reporting processes
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic business decisions
• Manage job costing, project profitability, and work‑in‑progress reporting
• Oversee banking, treasury, tax, audit, and insurance activities
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and multi‑state requirements
• Partner with operations and project leadership to improve financial performance
• Develop and monitor financial controls, processes, and reporting
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting and finance team
• Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and overall financial efficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
• Construction industry experience required
• Experience overseeing both accounting and finance functions required
• Strong understanding of construction accounting, job costing, and WIP
• Procore and Timberline experience preferred
