Lead Unity Multiplayer Networking Engineer Game Programmer / SW Eng Perm Remote USA West Coast or Europe Direct Hire Sep 25, 2025 We’re looking for a Senior/Lead Unity Multiplayer Networking Engineer to architect and deliver cross‑platform real‑time multiplayer for a high‑profile new game. Our client is a profitable, independent game studio with multiple VR titles on Meta Quest. They are developing a new, globally appealing, arcade‑style sports game based on a major IP. This is a greenfield role with authority over core networking systems across mobile, console, and PC. What You Will Do: Architect and implement multiplayer systems in Unity with Photon Fusion. Deliver cross‑play functionality for mobile, Switch, Xbox, and PlayStation. Ensure scalability, stability, and fairness in live multiplayer. Partner with gameplay, backend, and design teams to deliver seamless online play. To Qualify: Shipped real-time (not turn-based) multiplayer titles. Expertise with Photon Fusion or a similar high‑throughput network code. Experience enabling cross‑play across multiple platforms. Nice‑to‑Have Anti‑cheat, matchmaking at scale, console TRC experience. #J-18808-Ljbffr Grcoo
