About the Position

Job Title: Radiologic Technologist Profession: Rad Tech Specialty: Radiologic Technology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift - Weekdays Hours per Shift: 10 hours (8:30 PM - 6:00 AM) Experience: Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology preferred License: Required Radiologic Technologist License Certifications: Required Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor Must-Have: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Radiography (ARRT-R) certification required Oregon Board of Medical Imaging Radiologic Technologist License required Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Description: Operates x-ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated portions of the body as ordered by physicians. Positions and instructs patients prior to examination. Adjusts the x-ray equipment and determines proper voltage as well as current and desired exposure time for each radiograph. Performs screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation. Explains procedures to patients and answers questions. Prepares equipment for use as needed. Prepares examination rooms for patient exams. Positions patients for imaging exams. Monitors patients and ensures safety during exams. Produces diagnostic images. Documents exam information. Reports important information to the physician. Verifies exams on PACS. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Organizational Requirements: Associates are required to receive all required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable.
