Step into a rewarding contract opportunity serving elementary students across multiple sites with a dedicated focus on physical therapy services in a school setting. This part-time itinerant position is based in the beautiful Florida Panhandle, spanning the school year from August through early June. As a physical therapist, you'll engage with a caseload of approximately 40 students, primarily at the elementary level, supporting their growth and success in an inclusive academic environment.

Qualifications:

• Master’s or Doctorate in Physical Therapy
• Current Florida Department of Health Physical Therapist license
• Experience working in a school setting, preferably PK-12
• Ability to travel between school sites (itinerant schedule)
• Commitment to adhering to all credentialing and fingerprinting requirements, including AHCA Clearinghouse and JLA badge processes

Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, and provide therapeutic interventions to inspire improved motor function and participation in daily activities
• Consult with teachers, families, and IEP teams to support holistic student care
• Document assessments, therapy sessions, and progress in accordance with school district and state guidelines
• Manage a part-time schedule averaging 22.5 hours per week (7.5-hour days), serving multiple campuses
• Adapt services to meet a diverse elementary-aged caseload’s needs and abilities
