Senior Principal Thermal Engineer-Data Center Solutions Thermal Engineering leads and delivers the development of innovative and compliant thermal design solutions, as well as cross-functional interfaces for computer systems and peripherals. Here’s what we are looking for with this role:Essential RequirementsExpertise in data center cooling infrastructure and high‑power electronicsExperience designing and implementing liquid cooling systems, including Cooling Distribution Units (CDUs) and cold platesStrong foundation in heat transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics, applied to system‑level thermal architecture and trade‑off decisionsHands-on proficiency with CFD and thermal modeling tools (e.g., FloEFD or equivalent), including interpretation of CFD/FEA results and correlation with physical testingDemonstrated ability to drive cross‑functional engineering decisions, collaborate with suppliers/ODM/JDM partners, and mentor engineersDesirable Graduate level degree in Thermal Engineering or related degreeCompensationDell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
