The Snail is hiring experienced servers to join our growing FOH team.
We’re looking for hospitality professionals who are confident in high-volume environments, genuinely enjoy taking care of people, and are excited to be part of a fast-growing, ambitious restaurant.
The ideal candidate is warm, polished, organized under pressure, and thrives in a team-oriented service environment. Strong food, wine, and service knowledge are important, but attitude, consistency, and professionalism matter just as much.
We’re a busy New American bistro with a strong neighborhood following, a thoughtful wine + cocktail program, and a collaborative service style focused on genuine hospitality.
Compensation: $11.35/hr + tips
Schedule: Dinner + brunch availability preferred; weekend availability required
Responsibilities
Deliver warm, attentive, and professional hospitality throughout service
Guide guests through food, wine, cocktail, and NA beverage offerings with confidence
Maintain strong knowledge of menus, ingredients, allergens, wine, and service standards
Work collaboratively with support staff, bartenders, kitchen, and management during high-volume service
Stay organized, composed, and proactive during fast-paced shifts
Complete opening/closing responsibilities thoroughly and consistently
Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout service
Support the overall flow of the floor beyond individual sections
Qualifications
2+ years serving experience required
Experience in high-volume/full-service restaurants strongly preferred
Strong wine knowledge and comfort selling wine required
Excellent pacing, multitasking, and communication skills
Calm and professional under pressure
Team-oriented with a strong work ethic and positive attitude
Reliable, punctual, and interested in long-term growth with the team
NYC restaurant experience preferred
