Western Wisconsin | Full-Time | Direct Hire | M-F 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM $140,000-$160,000 base, with flexibility Konik is partnering with a growing, well-established manufacturing company to add a Director of Operations to their leadership team. This role will oversee production, quality, and maintenance functions, driving operational performance, efficiency, and continuous improvement across the organization. This is a high-impact leadership position focused on optimizing manufacturing processes, improving capacity, and building a strong, accountable team culture. This role will oversee production, quality, and maintenance functions, driving operational performance, efficiency, and continuous improvement across the organization. The Director of Operations will play a key role in aligning production with sales demand, improving quality metrics, and leading strategic operational initiatives. Director of Operations Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day operations across production, quality, maintenance, and warehouse functions
- Establish and track KPIs to improve manufacturing efficiency, throughput, and capacity
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing scrap, rework, and inefficiencies
- Partner with sales and production control to align capacity with incoming demand and maintain lead times
- Develop and implement quality goals, reporting systems, and improvement strategies
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DNR, and other regulatory standards
- Evaluate capital equipment needs and provide ROI-driven recommendations
- Oversee facility operations, equipment maintenance, and overall infrastructure performance
- Lead, develop, and mentor teams while fostering a strong culture of accountability and communication
- Bachelor's degree in Operations, Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5-10+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment (Millwork or Building Materials)
- 5+ years of leadership experience overseeing production or operations teams
- Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
- Strong understanding of production planning, quality systems, and operational metrics
- Experience with capital planning, equipment evaluation, and process optimization
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive results in a fast-paced environment
