Senior Financial Analyst

Finance PositionProvide financial services to profit center. Partner with Financial Manager and department heads in management of financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Create supportive environment to develop high performing team, provide training opportunities and engage in coaching and mentoring relationships.Lead accountants and other related team members, provide timely performance feedback and contribute to performance appraisals utilizing talent management systems.Develop and deliver training to educate staff members regarding related department processes.Partner with Financial Manager to provide year-end detailed analysis and work papers for year-end corporate audit.Review quarterly account reconciliations and make recommendations for improvement to Financial Manager.Review monthly G&A monitor and participate in updating forecast.Actively contribute to cash management and profit enhancement initiatives.Partner with Financial Manager on development and preparation of annual profit plan and forecasting reports.Ensure rigorous and ethical standards of compliance with external requirements (GAAP, IAS, FARS, ERISA and IRS) and internal company policies.Assist Financial Manager on financial risk management and support development of policies and procedures.Work with Senior Leadership Team to ensure staff are compliant with company policy and help determine specific policy amendments as needed for business unit.Identify risks on projects that impact earnings.Guide and give advice of risk assessment for Profit Plans & CABs.Other activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.The salary range for this position is estimated to be 115,000.00 - 147,000.00 USD annualized.Turner Construction provides flexible benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, financial benefits such as a 401(k) plan, Health Savings Account, Flexible Spending Account, wellness benefits, a voluntary legal plan, identity theft, life insurance, and short-term and long-term disability coverage.In addition to our extensive benefits offerings, we provide paid vacation, wellness/sick time, holidays, paid parental leave, tuition reimbursement, employee referral bonuses, and end-of-year appreciation pay.Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field and 6 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and/or experience, MBA a plusThorough application of accounting principlesConstruction industry experience preferredManagement experienceKeen analytic ability to review and assess financial data, interpret trends, and recognize inconsistenciesDemonstrate understanding of cash flows and implements procedures to optimize interest incomeImplement policies and standards ensuring compliance from team members while managing and minimizing financial riskAbility to facilitate and implement process improvement ideas to improve department processes and operationsAbility to observe performance, identify areas of development, and effectively provide performance feedbackProficient with financial system applications, MS Excel, and MS OfficeProfessional written and verbal communication skillsExercise independent judgment and discretionEfficiently utilizes resources to meet company and customer requirementsMust be highly organized, able to prioritize competing demands, detail oriented, maintain accuracy, and self-check work and the work of othersAbility to work across functional lines and organizational levelsSome travelPhysical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
