Senior Financial Analyst

Finance PositionProduce and analyze company-wide monthly and quarterly reports, develop financial models for profit planning, support external audit, and develop ad-hoc analyses and studies.Reports to: Director, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Create supportive environment to develop high performing finance team, provide training opportunities and engage in coaching and mentoring relationships.Lead analysts and other related team members, provide timely performance feedback and contribute to performance appraisals during annual performance cycle, utilizing talent management systems.Develop and deliver training to educate staff members regarding related department processes.Take active role in streamlining and improving department processes.Perform quarterly and monthly financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis including backlog, sales, earnings, cash, write downs, claims, risks and reserves, and provisions, include continuous improvement of financial reporting to meet evolving business needs.Develop and prepare complex special studies and ad-hoc financial analysis by leveraging capabilities of financial enterprise system.Support yearly profit planning process including development of calendar, analysis of economic indicators for construction market, consolidation and analysis of business unit financial data, development of financial models to assess potential risks and chances, produce presentation, and coordinate and participate in review meetings. Recommend improvements to processes.Support yearly external audit including daily communication with auditor, providing assistance and explanations as required, and yearly analysis of risk provisions.Provide risk management reporting to parent company, include Risk Memo and Claims Report.Interface with Turner senior management and parent company controller.Prepare presentation materials for CEO and CFO.Other activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.The salary range for this position is estimated to be 107,000.00 - 157,000.00 USD annualized.Turner Construction provides flexible benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, financial benefits such as a 401(k) plan, Health Savings Account, Flexible Spending Account, wellness benefits, a voluntary legal plan, identity theft, life insurance, and short-term and long-term disability coverage.In addition to our extensive benefits offerings, we provide paid vacation, wellness/sick time, holidays, paid parental leave, tuition reimbursement, employee referral bonuses, and end-of-year appreciation pay.Qualifications:MBA and Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or related field, and 6 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Senior Cost Analyst experience preferredThorough application of accounting principles (GAAP, IAS, FARS, ERISA and IRS)Construction industry experience preferredManagement experienceKeen analytic ability to review, assess and interpret trends of large quantities of disparate financial data requiredAbility to facilitate and implement process improvement ideas to improve department processes and operationsAbility to manage many activities, requests, and short-cycle deadlines simultaneouslyAdvanced MS Excel skills, proficient with financial system applications, SAP, and MS OfficeProfessional written and verbal communication skillsExercises independent judgment and discretion on all business and people matters, maintains composure and objectivityEfficiently utilizes resources to meet company and customer requirementsAbility to work across functional lines and levels of organizationTravelPhysical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
