About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Med Surg/Tele CWR Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years prior RN experience working in a Med Surg/Telemetry unit in a major acute care hospital setting required. License: NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, Telemetry, CEU Contact Stroke 4 Hours. Must-Have: Strong Med Surg/Telemetry background; experience in hospice care; skills in telemetry nursing and medical-surgical nursing. Description: The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting with patient care. Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patient needs. Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Develops, implements, and coordinates an individualized plan of care for assigned patients through initial and ongoing assessments. Initiates assessment based on the patient’s problems or needs, the physician’s medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework. Performs therapeutic nursing interventions. Manages care of patients. Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and clinical priorities. Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports the adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery. Provides patient-centric care in alignment with the professional nursing practice model. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
