About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Mother Baby Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 3 years of Mother Baby experience required. Preferred 5 years of experience. License: NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN-Advanced or C-EFM preferred. Must-Have: - Labor and Delivery - Postpartum Care - Antepartum Care - Newborn Care Description: The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patient needs. Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Develops, implements, and coordinates an individualized plan of care for assigned patients through initial and ongoing assessments. Initiates assessment based on the patient’s problems or needs and physician’s medical diagnosis. Performs therapeutic nursing interventions. Manages care of patients. Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and clinical priorities. Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports the adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery. Provides patient-centric care in alignment with the professional nursing practice model. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. More postpartum nursing rather than labor and delivery experience preferred. Scrubs provided - Navy Blue.
