Legal Secretary

Legal Secretary-District Attorney's Office-(Full-time)

The legal secretary provides administrative and clerical support to lawyers and legal teams. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.

This position maintains accurate records for the District Attorney's office by performing the following duties: maintain records, files and issues legal documents, prepares case folders, file and route documents, secures information for judges, attorneys, law enforcement, and litigants and enters data into computer; attends court dockets and prepares plea paperwork; performing searches, filing motions and answering questions in the office and over the phone.

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Candidate must be able to type 50 WPM and have strong computer knowledge, previous experience working with the public, telephone skills, and the ability to prioritize daily work. Knowledge of court procedures preferred, but not required. Applicant must also have strong Microsoft Office skills.
