We are looking for a highly motivated Accounts Payable Clerk to join our Amarillo team  and contribute to our continued success. Job Summary: 

The Accounts Payable Clerk supports the financial health of our operations by ensuring vendor invoices and supply transactions are processed accurately and efficiently. This position plays an essential role in  maintaining strong vendor relationships and contributing to the overall success of the accounting  department. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Review, code, and process vendor invoices for accuracy and proper approval. • Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents when applicable. • Enter invoices into the system in a timely and accurate manner. 

• Maintain vendor files, ensuring all W-9s and payment information are up to date. • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies or billing issues promptly. • Assist with month-end closing duties as assigned, such as AP reports, accruals and supporting  documentation. 

• Communicate professionally with vendors and internal departments to ensure smooth payment  processing.  

• Support the accounting team with other administrative and financial tasks as needed.

Qualifications: 

• High school diploma or equivalent  

• 1-3 years of experience in accounts payable is preferred 

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry 

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite 

• Excellent organizational and time management skills 

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information 

• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as a part of a team
