Hospitalist Physican

Overview

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting multiple Hospitalists to support the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Cetner located at 1 Medical Center Dr, Clarksburg, WV 26301. The shift schedule is typically 12-hour shifts, 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am. If you accept employment with Ansible, you must also acknowledge that any assigned schedule is subject to change at the direction of either Ansible or its customers. Responsibilities

• Provide direct inpatient care (95% of time)
• Admit and manage hospitalized patients
• Perform history and physicals, diagnostic evaluations, and treatment
• Coordinate discharge planning and follow-up
• Participate in code and rapid response teams
• Perform procedures (e.g., lumbar puncture, thoracentesis, paracentesis)
• Attend quality improvement meetings
• Complete documentation in VA’s EHR (CPRS)
• Report patient safety incidents within 24 hours
• Comply with VA policies on privacy, ethics, and infection control
• Ensure continuous coverage, including during absences
• Provide replacement within 2 hours if a scheduled provider is unavailable
• Maintain a contingency plan for staffing changes

Qualifications

• Board Certified in in Internal Medicine 
• Active, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia
• Active AHA BLS and ACLS
• Must be able to pass a Federal background investigation.

All candidates must be able to:

• Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
• Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
• Lift up to 20 lbs
• Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
• Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
