Day-in-the-Life in Anderson, SC (29621)
Join our team as a CNC Milling Programmer-Operator and turn complex prints into perfectly machined components. From programming at the control to dialing in that last tenth, your craftsmanship will drive quality and on-time delivery.
Critical requirement: You must be able to program directly at the machine and run parts independently without assistance.
What You’ll Do- Set up and operate CNC vertical milling centers to meet tight tolerances and production targets.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models to plan tool paths and machining strategy.
- Create, edit, and optimize G-code at the control; adjust feeds, speeds, and offsets for peak performance.
- Monitor operations, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine preventive maintenance.
- Verify parts with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure spec compliance.
- Partner with engineering and teammates to improve process capability and product quality.
- Keep your work area organized and safe, following all EHS guidelines.
- High school diploma or GED; machining certificate/technical training preferred.
- Hands-on CNC milling experience, including setup and operation.
- Proficiency with CNC programming and G-code editing at the control.
- Ability to read and understand complex prints and technical drawings.
- Strong measurement skills using precision gauges.
- Independent, team-oriented work style in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a quality-first mindset.
- Resourceful problem-solver with a proactive approach.
Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM; Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM.
