People Caring For And About People.Your Role as an Activities Assistant:Assist in planning, developing, and implementing engaging daily activity programsEncourage and support resident participation through regular visits and relationship-buildingLead and facilitate group and individual activities as scheduledAssist in gathering resident interests and contributing to individualized activity care plansDocument resident participation and progress in activitiesCollaborate with other departments to coordinate programs and special eventsParticipate in resident council meetings and provide support as neededCreate a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment for residentsFollow all infection control, safety, and HIPAA guidelinesAttend required trainings, in-services, and team meetingsWhat We're Looking For:High school diploma or equivalent requiredMust be at least 18 years of agePrevious experience in activities or a healthcare setting preferred, but not requiredEnergetic, creative, and compassionate personalityStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to remain calm and patient in emotionally demanding situationsComfortable working with elderly individuals, including those who may be ill or cognitively impairedPhysically able to stand, walk, bend, and assist residents as neededAbility to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbsAbility to read, write, and speak EnglishYour Next Step Starts Here!
